Glossy celadon glaze atop black inlaid illustrations. Illustrative motifs are repeated around the vase 3 times. The bottom of the vase got a very special collection of drips (referred to in soda firing as a dragonfly's eye) and although the 4 drips are different sizes and render the vase //slightly// wobbly, I could not bear doing anything to disrupt these beautiful indicators of the firing process.
Specially fired upstate in Germantown, NY at Okidoki Studio. Each soda fired piece's finish is highly unpredictable/unique and unlikely to ever be replicated again.
